Texas Style B&B Competition Oak Briquets are a favorite among champion pitmasters because of their long and clean burn and how they unleash championship winning flavor. Competition charcoal briquets create an optimal amount of smoke, burning at low or high temperatures, which produces that great smoky flavor you're looking for.
What are Oak Briquets?
Our briquets are larger than the average briquet and are made from a blend of charred hardwoods that is held together with a vegetable starch binder.
What do Briquets do?
Briquets add authentic wood smoke flavor for those who prefer the ease of briquets and an amazing aroma that starts when you light the coals and continues all the way through cooking
What are briquets used for?
You can use charcoal briquets in all styles of outdoor cooking appliances, including Classic Kettle Style Barbecues, Barrel Grills & Smokers, and Kamado-style Ceramic Cookers
HOW TO LIGHT COMPETITION OAK BRIQUETS
Lighting Instructions
We highly recommend starting your fire with a charcoal chimney. Fill the chimney with briquets and place it over a solid firestarter, such as a Firelighting Square, or paper, such as the inner layers of this bag. Light the starter and let the coals burn until flames begin to come out of the top and the coals start to ash over. Then carefully dump the chimney and spread out the coals.
